Expert Witness + Testimony

Dayna serves as an Expert Witness in cases of domestic violence, sexual assault and physical abuse with both children and adults. This work is done collaboratively with another treatment provider. For children going through divorce, she has worked with their parents’ lawyers to provide therapeutic recommendations during the separation – however, she is not licensed or state certified to provide custodial evaluations.

Dayna has also worked in the Universities to provide Contributory Health Impairment (CHI) assessments for university students who’ve undergone a violation of the Honor Code that is linked to a mental health diagnosis, and provide trauma evaluations for survivors walking through a Title IX process.

Retainer

$1500/per half day

Retainer includes the an advanced payment for services to be performed, this insures that the client will be represented, and that the expert witness will be paid this amount. This is an agreement between the expert witness and the client. With a retainer agreement, as an expert witness, Dayna is not left with unpaid fees, and the client is ensured to be fully represented. (Needs to be clarified with Dayna)

Trauma Assessment

$1000

This process includes different methods and behavioral observations to gather an in-depth understanding of traumatic events, the effects of those events, current trauma-related symptoms, and functional impairment. This is used to understand a child’s trauma history and symptom profile; to determine whether a child is developmentally on target in the social, emotional, and behavioral domains, and to drive treatment planning. (Needs to be reworded/clarified with Dayna)

Contributing Health Impairment
